MOZA R5 Bundle

I ordered the AB9 Flight FFB Base from MOZA and really enjoy it. While the base is larger than expected, once I figured out a good mounting solution, it has been great. Still working on fine tuning the effects with the MOZA software but the results so far have been incredible!

I'm very happy with this purchase... easy to mount, easy to adjust and setup...I dad a sr-p pedals and the difference in use is important.

the only bad thing about them is you need 2 people to adjust the brake pedal, when on max damping it is impossible to do alone.

originally using a t300rs, i decided to offer me this, and that's the best choice, direct drive feel really good, same for pedals, maybe the best price/quality seering wheel, can't wait to receive my ks wheel

Its rigid, its comfortable the buttons feel great same for the knobs, its the perfect size, magnetic shifters and both clutch pedals feel very close to a real race car’s pedals, shifter lights are bright and clearly visible, the rotary differential and brake bias encoders could be somewhat stiffer and clearer between notches but overall are decent and very useful in races.
Build quality is good, more than i’d expect for a sub-300 dollar wheel.
Get this if you’re looking for a wheel to accommodate formula style and any GT/LMP/LMH etc style racing series.
I personally have this paired with a nascar style rim (non moza) that i installed a wheelside QR hub.
If your focus is formula/gt style racing this is the last wheel you’ll ever need.

J'ai commencé avec un G29 pendant 2/3 ans puis j'ai fait le grand pas vers Moza R5, je ne regrette pas du tout, meilleur volant, c'est incroyable.

The base is heavy and rigid, and it gives quiet an immersive feeling pending on the game/simulator used. I play it with DCS, and it has this option to additionally extract data from DCS to emulate vibrations and such. Here I found that some of these effects are quiet exaggerated and I had to fine tune them. I know that DCS is also not the easiest simulator to deal with, but I'd recommend to then not offer this effects than have the stick wack you out of nowhere while you fly in otherwise calm air with the autopilot on.
Since I can fix it myself, I can recommend this for everyone who can afford it. However, for 5 stars, that could have been ironed out more first, but I wouldn't be suprised if others are struggling with this too!

Really great finish quality.
Easy to install and the software is incredibly well built.
For a first direct drive the driving feels really precise and a step up from none DD.

I enjoy the base a lot and I am happy to have bought it. Unfortunately, not allof the desired effects at this moment. This, despite many hours of troubleshooting by myself and Moza support. The support staff has been very good and responsive to my requests to date. Missing effects include elevator droop, helicopter effects, gunfire etc.

Setup was a breeze and the quality is amazing. I researched for well over a year before I finally up graded to moza, and moza didn't disappoint. It is so much smoother and stronger than my old wheel. I can't wait to upgrade my pedals to Moza. I probably will after the holidays. Definitely recommend, and by far best bang for your buck

Coming from a Logitech G920 and decided to get myself the R5 bundle on sale. Writing my review more as a first impression than a long term review.

It's definitely an upgrade over the Logitech. The wheel is silent and you can actually feel the road, it's not just some random steering wobble like all the rest. It's awesome being able to brake, but the brake kit should just be included as 'the brake'. I shouldn't have had to buy a mounting plate either.

Everything I ordered feels solid and high quality. I ordered directly from Moza and everything arrived in about a week. Just waiting on my steering wheel mod (which I ordered separately) and I never received a key for Assetto Corsa.

Along with the R5 bundle, I ordered a brake kit, clutch, and shifter. I made a separate order for the 12" wheel mod and bought an adapter kit from Microcenter. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. I plan to get the multi-stalks soon. But for the price I paid, I feel I shouldn't have had to buy a few pieces separately (brake kit and adapter plate)- And also maybe I should have just got an R9.. but oh well.

Perhaps Moza should just include the brake kit and have their table clamp drilled the same as the adapter plate for dual use.

Ordered this shifter with my R5 bundle. I can only compare it to the Logitech shifter as far as sim gear goes- but it feels great.

I didn't hate my Logitech set-up but I always hated the shifter. It felt too light and toy-ish, I guess. Not like a real car.

This one feels solid, clunky, and mechanical. you can get your hand around it and It wants to pull its self into gear like a real car. I haven't tried the auto blip feature yet, but that seems neat.

I don't think I should have had to buy this. i ordered it with my bundle based on reviews and looking at the SR-P Lite pedals online, so I never used the brakes without it.

If you're coming from a Logitech set-up, its a world of difference- you need to have it- but it should just be 'the brake' and not require us to buy it separately.
