Force feedback is great, and strength is enough as well, The software feels unfinished, would be great to have support for 3rd party grips, lots of issues with Virpil, cannot even set axis as buttons because it lights up a bazillion buttons when you touch axis on the grip. I have a problem with tightening Mongoose to the base, very little space to get a nice grip with the hand to tighten the nut. mounted without issues to Monstertech plate from Virpil base. Absolutely tank of a build feels sturdy. Was hoping for more frequent updates and further development of software, but it literally stopped almost as quick as the Base has been released. So not really optimistic if it even gets future compatibility with future titles. Would absolutely buy it again even if it works only for DCS.
Its a decent product but they claim it to be universal fit although it is not. It does not fit my winwing fa-18 grip.
Love FFB effects and feeling when flying CFS and MSFS. I would like to have FFB on War Thunder and IL2-sturmovik too. Base even without FFB is better than most bases with springs, because it's superior accuracy in control. More premade setups would be great. It would be great too, if some basic extenders (example 5cm/2inch or 10cm/4inch) would be in the package with the base. That's because the base is so big, it won't fit well between my legs and when I install it low, stick has limited movement between my legs. AB9 is well made and beautiful. When the base will have full support in most sims, I will give it five stars.
The MOZA AB9 is a real game changer for flight sim enthusiasts. Feeling the force feedback and telemetry data makes it so much more immersed flying a helicopter, warbird or jet. And sometimes even easier correcting the plane in time because of the force feedback input.
I can highly recommend the AB9 because of immersion, build quility and overal performance.
I’m just getting started with FFB and I chose the AB9 after seeing the product in videos following FSExpo24, and I’m glad I did. You will notice the exceptional build quality as soon as you take it out of the box. The software is still baking, but the MOZA team is very responsive and updates are frequent. Solving bugs and adding features on what seems like a weekly basis. I’m looking forward to how the experience is going to improve, but I am very impressed and happy with its performance as is. With the z-axis extension, it has the perfect throw and weight to mimic the feel of a real helicopter cyclic. The response and precision is excellent. No buyers remorse. I highly recommend this base if you are serious about PC helisimming.
