WHAT'S INBOX

  • MOZA AB9 FFB Base * 1

What flight simulator games does the AB9 Base support?

The AB9 is compatible with major PC-based flight simulation titles, including:

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 / 2020
  • X-Plane 12 / 11 / 10
  • DCS World
  • IL-2 Sturmovik
  • War Thunder, and more.

It is not currently compatible with console platforms like Xbox or PlayStation.

Can I mount the AB9 Base on my current flight sim setup?

Yes. The AB9 supports desktop clamping or rig mounting, offering flexible installation options. Its universal mounting pattern is compatible with most common sim cockpits and DIY platforms.

Is the AB9 Base noisy during use?

No. The AB9 features a sealed fanless design with low cogging torque and smooth servo motion, resulting in near-silent operation, ideal for long sessions and shared environments.

Does it come with a flight stick or do I need to purchase one separately?

The AB9 Base is sold independently. You’ll need to purchase a compatible flight stick such as the MOZA MH16 or a supported third-party stick with the necessary adapter.

What makes the AB9 different from other bases?

Unlike traditional joystick bases, the AB9 offers:

  • 12Nm peak torque for powerful, high-fidelity feedback
  • MCLS (MOZA Control Loading System) for realistic flight resistance
  • Open ecosystem compatibility
  • Aviation-grade aluminum construction

These features make it ideal for both enthusiasts and professional training applications

The Moza base and stick are great but the Moza throttle I replaced it with my original Saitek throttle. The reasons are that what I thought was reverse thrust only makes full throttle on no. 1. The next reason is there is no decent axis with a centre detent to use as an elevator trim. And there are no switches sprung loaded to return to centre.
Very disappointed with the throttle.

I am very satisfied; it is exactly what I wanted. Very good workmanship.
What I don't like so much is the software. It is too complicated for me and it took me a few days to figure out all the settings.

Taking Simulation to the next level!

What a cool, well built, immersive, and totally game changing piece of tech this is. I can't believe it took me as long as it did to get into FFB as flight simulation is a hobby I have loved for more than a decade.

MOZA is forever thanked by me for allowing this kind of experience all from the comfort of home, bringing that next level of joy to my experience and making each flight a lil more memorable.

MOZA AB9 FFB Base first impression.

Very nice looking product and after some testing looks very promising for our application, however there is one huge mistake in design. This is POWER push button, which needs to be pressed to power up the device. We finding this worst idea ever as this unit can't be built into any sort of enclosure. This excludes product from such an application. Guys, you should redesign this and do latching power switch instead. If not that major issue, product would get 5 stars from me easily.
