Honestly one of the best upgrades I have done on my rig and so cheap for what it is. excellent for drifting and rally. Adds proper inertia to the wheel. The materials feel pretty premium as well
Its great, loving it. It would be nice to see a better clamping solution, those screws are pointy and can be torturous on your knees.
I've been using a G920 for 5 years now. I tried a few sims with MOZA bases at the Markham Indy and I was hooked. Invested in R9 V3 + ESX Wheel + SRP2 pedals and it is an absolute GAME CHANGER!
Direct FFB is 500% more accurate and the headroom provided with the R9 V3 is incredible! I now feel so much more effects than I did with the G920 - road surfaces, braking points, loss of traction is much easier to recover now that I can feel the different levels of traction loss!
The app is also a game changer - playing F1 25 with the app's F1 settings brought on a whole different game! I've always struggled with the first chicane at Monza with my G920, but with the R9 set to F1 preset, I've completely blown my previous lap times out of the water!!!
I feel that the R9 is the sweet spot - At the Indy, they had the R25 Ultra, but it was turned down to 30% (even at 30% I felt my wrists snap at the high level of FFB!), so the R9 is right where I need it to be. My FFB is set at 70% and that leaves plenty of headroom for all the other effects. Curbs are still crisp and strong as is the level of traction, enough to tire me during a 40 minute race on ACC!
I am playing with an XBOX, so I can confirm that the R9 V3 + ESX wheel works perfectly with most of the top tier racing games: ACC, Forza, F Horizon, GRiD, DiRT Rally. The MOZA R9 V3 is leagues above the G920, a completely new experience! It's fanless too, so no excessive noise coming from the base itself. It does get a bit warm though, especially if you are turning up the settings. Overall, a worthy investment for any sim racing fan!
Xbox needs a wheel with more key binds. Very hard to play most racing games. Even the logitech G series has more. This wheel mod feels good. Just would love more USEABLE buttons. The xbox version just feels like an after thought
Probably the best mod for R5 and especially R3, if you do racing(as GT3/Supercars/Formula)
Highly recommended for weaker based, the feedback becomes way smoother thanks to the weight reduction(approx -220 grams(-16.5%))
The grip is nice, way better than on ES wheel(subjectively)

I think it's great for the price, a simple vibration motor adds a better level of feedback detail for budget sim rigs. An easy recommend.

Nice upgrade from a R9V1. Easy to set up! The only thing I wish I knew is that it is slightly tilted downward. So when mounted on my desk clamp it’s pretty hard to make it flat.
Excellent G1000 replica instrument. Buttons are a bit small but work very well and have a very good feel to them. The dials are excellent. Would be nice if it had a bezel around the unit to make it easier to mount in a cockpit. Overall, I’m very happy with it. Exceptional built quality and very fair price.

Doesn't work, and expensive paperweight. MOZA support is trying to help without success.
Simple installation and works perfectly. Had to purchase adaptors for the power supplies as only Asian plugs were supplied.
The CRP2 load cell is soooo good, I’m not gonna lie! 🔥 The brake feel and overall performance are excellent, and everything feels solid and well made.
Also i got with the inversion kit. Other than that, everything is perfect. Great pedals and definitely worth it. 👍

Do not buy!
The performance of it, is unacceptable. I adjusted my rig and attached it to the wheel base and the quick release system sleeve slides back with any leverage and causes unacceptable play / movement / wobble / tilt to the setup.
It is not as strong and sturdy as specified and because of this during use the force feedback makes it knock and the haptic vibrations get completely lost due to the disconnected feel of the quick release.
It needs a redesign, some kind of semi permanent locking system that clamps it to the quick release system to hold it more firmly in place.
Unfortunately I’m really disappointed as it would have been a perfect adjustment to my ergonomics.
It is defective by design and I requested a full refund.
